Summer's here and even though people tend to think that means we get time off we are working hard to find the next generation of SCAD softball players! Coach Vlahos and I are covering nine different summer tournaments with a list of about 70 athletes from around the country in the 2010, 2011, and 2012 graduating classes. Yes, there are a ton of softball players that are art majors too!
Our recruiting includes trips to Jacksonville and West Palm Beach, FL, Greenville, SC, Westminister, Aurora, and Boulder, CO., Savannah and Marietta, GA, and Plano, TX. All of these events are either ASA Qualifiers or Showcase Tournaments and when all is said and done we hope to have a primary recruit list for 2010 of about 4 athletes, 2011 - 6 athletes, and 2012 - 3 or 4 athletes.
