DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Sam White of Savannah College of Art and Design has been named The Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Feb. 27.

White, a freshman from Tuscon, Ariz., collected 26 strikeouts in six games pitched on the week. She totaled 27.2 innings pitched and picked up four wins and a save, leading her team to a 7-1 record at the Boombah Smash Hit Spring Break Tournament.

The Bees are now 11-5 overall and ranked 23rd in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Kristen Curette has been selected as The Sun Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 27, conference officials announced Monday afternoon.

Curette, a senior infielder from Savannah College of Art and Design, batted .560 for the Bees as they went 7-1 at the Boombah Smash Hit Tournament. She collected 14 hits, 10 RBI, nine stolen bases, and a homerun in the eight games played on the week. She also picked up a save against No. 19 Notre Dame (Ohio) in a 9-6 win for the Bees.

SCAD currently stands at 11-5 overall and No. 23 in the nation.
