Courtney Slye is from Mission Viejo, CA. She will graduate in May from Capistrano Valley High School, having earned varsity letters all four years. While playing for high school, she received Defensive Player of the Year for both 2010 and 2011. Courtney also made Sea View First Team All League in 2011. Courtney played shortstop and third base for OC Elite travel team, helping her team make it to 18 Gold Nationals in 2010 and 2011. A great addition to our team, we are thrilled to get Courtney on board. "Courtney is a strong player; she will be able to fill Jess's spot who is currently a senior and our primary shortstop," Knecht said. Courtney is also great in academics, having maintained a GPA of 3.72. While at SCAD, Courtney wants to study Animation, with an ultimate goal of working for Pixar.
