Women's Professional Luncheon

On February 20th, SCAD Softball hosted a Women's Professional Luncheon with the Women's Golf team inviting women faculty and staff from SCAD. The guest list spanned from the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, to Human Resources staff and Professors from many different majors. We were also lucky enough to be joined by SCAD Alumni and Olympian Cheryl Hayworth and a local TV sports reporter Melissa Maikos. Ruth Crowe, a former Collegiate Softball Coach of many years, also came to speak to the athletes and guests. The event is targeted not only to showcase our sports and athletes but to also give the athletes some networking techniques and provide them with a more professional setting to help them in their careers. At the Luncheon the athletes who are still current that received honors from 2007-2008 year were presented their Academic, All-Region, and All-American awards. Both Coach Knecht and Coach Workman spoke about their programs for the year and how vital the guests in the room were a part of helping accomplish the goals the teams had every year. The Luncheon was a success and many of the guest raved about how excited they were to attend and for next years Luncheon.
