2009 NAIA Preseason Top 20 Pole
The Savannah College of Art and Design softball team is ranked 19th in the NAIA Preseason Top 25 poll released 1/27/09. After being ranked 18th in the 2008 final poll we return seven players from last year's team that went 38-13 and finished in second place in the Florida Sun Conference. SCAD is one of two teams in their conference ranked in the Top 25 for 2009.
SCAD opens its 2009 schedule Feb. 7 with a 10 a.m. contest against Thomas (Ga.) University in Thomasville, Ga. The Bees open their home schedule Feb. 26 with a 6 p.m. doubleheader against Goshen College at the Paulson Softball Complex to open the 2009 SCAD Smash Hit Spring Break Softball Tournament.
