Spring Break 2009

The past week we took the team to Myrtle Beach for spring break. The girls spent two days working at the Community Kitchen of Myrtle Beach and played two days of games coming out with a 3-1 record on the week. The Community Kitchen directors and workers were very happy with the help the girls could supply. The girls served on the food line, helped clean, stocked the kitchen and the thrift store and organized all the food that the kitchen had.

The team put on a hitting show for 3 out of 4 games that they played. Lisa Williams was able to play for the first time on the year and started her career at SCAD with a 3-1 record. Courtney Mienkina had two home runs on the weekend one being a grand slam. Multiple doubles and triples were hit by SCAD and the girls showed their ability to out hit their opponents.

Overall the girls spent a lot of time together, some went to the beach, others explored Myrtle beach and as a team went on a team dinner and had a great time.
